Forage for your wellbeing is a cocoon collective of practitioners that believe wellness and inner healing comes from a whole-body approach that includes wrapping oneself in mindful and self-compassionate care. Services are offered for individuals, couples, families and groups encouraging a larger supportive community connection.
Forage is located in Wichita Kansas where multi-disciplinary independent practitioners share space to provide holistic, trauma-informed care according to their professional training and clinical experience. Practitioners are independent providers who share common professional values for wellness and have their own policies and procedures. Forage practitioners are not employees or agents of Forage, LLC.

Our Upcoming Events
Models Utilized
Mindfulness and Self Compassion
Mindfulness practices are utilized to guide clients to turn toward and acknowledge our inner thoughts and feelings that include negative core beliefs (such as feelings of failure, discouragement, anger, and specific fears) with a spirit of openness and curiosity. Clients are encouraged to practice self-compassion through observation without judgment and to begin to respond to needs with sympathy, loving kindness and understanding.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Practitioners utilize this structured approach to facilitate clients in focusing briefly on difficult experiences that are causing distress in daily life. During these structured sessions clients are simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (e.g. eye movements, handheld buzzers) which exercises communication in the brain that reduces negative felt sensation and emotional distress from the difficult experience. EMDR therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences (Maxfield, 2019).
Internal Family Systems
Practitioners observe each client as having a variety of ways they can think and feel about any given situation. Practitioners collaborate with clients to identify their multi perspectives by careful and compassionate internal observation. Clients are encouraged to connect with their healthy Leader Self and to take time to listen and learn from their manager, protective, and wounded inner perspectives so they can show appreciation and develop practices to meet needs, heal and to grow. Clients are taught ways they can participate in daily life by practicing the 8 C’s - Curiosity, Compassion, Clarity, Connectedness, Creativity, Courage, Confidence, and Calm.
Somatic Experience Approach
The goal of experiential
therapy practices
Forage practitioners believe in a body first approach to healing that includes assessing with the client how their body may be stuck in a pattern of fight, flight, freeze, flag or fawn. The goal of experiential therapy practices is to increase the client’s tolerance for difficult sensations and to gather practices to help release and reset emotions.
